IP Type Guide
Mobile IP vs Static Residential IP
Same device, different trust score. Learn what each network type actually does — and which one to buy for registration vs daily farming.
Both Mobile and Static Residential IPs work flawlessly whether you log in from an antidetect browser on desktop or from a real phone / cloud phone. What changes is not your device — it is the trust score platforms assign to your account based on network type.
The Core Difference
Platforms do not care if you use a PC or phone. They care whether your IP looks like a hopping cell tower or a stable home broadband line.
| Dimension | 📱 Mobile IP | 🌐 Static Residential IP |
|---|---|---|
| Network source | Real mobile carrier towers (4G/5G — T-Mobile, Verizon, Vodafone, etc.). | Real home broadband / Wi-Fi lines (ISP static residential). |
| IP behavior | Naturally dynamic. IPs shift when towers hand off, when you toggle airplane mode, or when sessions reconnect — sometimes every few minutes to hours. | Fixed forever. As long as you keep the subscription, the same credentials always resolve to the same IP — 24/7 online. |
| Platform trust | Highest whitelist tier. Thousands of real users share one cell IP — platforms rarely block mobile ranges or they risk mass false positives. | High trust through stability. A consistent home IP signals a real resident browsing from one location. |
| Typical pricing | Pay per GB of traffic, or per mobile port per day/month (premium pricing). | Pay per IP (e.g. from $2.50/IP/month), usually unlimited bandwidth on static plans. |
When to Buy Static Residential IP (ISP Static)
- Daily long-term account farming — posting, replying, checking analytics in one fixed environment.
- Stealth e-commerce stores (Amazon, eBay, Etsy) — rotating IPs trigger “abnormal login location” locks instantly.
- Maximum uptime at the best cost — you need stability, not constant IP hopping.
When to Buy Mobile IP (4G/5G)
- Bulk new-account registration — register 1–2 accounts, disconnect/reconnect for a fresh cell IP, repeat. Mimics unlimited new phones.
- Breaking hard platform friction — password resets, appeal flows, payout/bank binding, or sudden 0-view / shadowban recovery on a static IP.
TikTok & Instagram Matrices — The 90/10 Rule
For most creators and affiliate operators: default to Static Residential IP for 90% of accounts. Reserve Mobile IP for the 10% of high-risk moments where you need to punch through friction.
Why not run everything on Mobile IP?
- Mobile IPs move. TikTok and Instagram tolerate some cell hopping on real phones — but inside a fixed antidetect profile, an IP jumping across cities daily looks abnormal for low-trust accounts.
- Mobile is GB-metered. Uploading 4K video burns through data fast — unsustainable for beginners running 20+ accounts.
🏆 Golden SOP — Copy This Workflow
Registration & unblock phase → Mobile IP
Use Mobile IP to batch-register new TikTok/IG accounts. If an existing account hits 0 views on static residential, switch it to mobile for 48 hours of warm-up scrolling — weight often recovers.
Stable operations phase → Static Residential IP
Once an account is healthy, lock it into one antidetect profile with one dedicated Static ISP IP — never rotate again. Post daily, run DMs, attach affiliate links. Same IP, same fingerprint, every session.
